TALIA ADLER-MAGAT

Talia is an Edmonton-based dancer, yoga teacher, social worker and arts educator. She has been dancing since the age of 3 and has been passionate about the art form ever since. She is an honours graduate of the Victoria School of Performing Arts Dance Program, and a proud alumni of the Decidedly Jazz Professional Training Program. At Decidedly Jazz, Talia continued her training in many styles of dance including ballet, African, tap and vernacular jazz, however her true passion is hip hop, and more specifically, Waaking. By the age of seventeen, she was dancing professionally with the all-female Edmonton crew Fly Girlz, winning multiple awards and receiving international recognition for their performances. Talia’s training has extended beyond Canada to New York and Los Angeles where she has had the privilege of studying under many legendary choreographers including Poppin Pete, Sho Tyme and Boogaloo Sam. She has been teaching dance throughout the city of Edmonton since 2009 and most recently received her Yoga certification, allowing her to merge the two worlds. Talia is thrilled to share her knowledge and passion for movement with young learners everywhere!
