Founded in 2008 by professional dancers Andrea Gregorio and Krista Deady, dancED is a dynamic arts education company based in Canada that provides students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 with the opportunity to explore dance in a joyful and approachable way, regardless of ability or experience.
What began as a one-day hip hop workshop for an eager group of Grade 6 students quickly evolved into something much bigger, as we discovered that dance is an ideal vessel for nurturing creativity, inclusivity and open-mindedness in young learners.
Today, we are proud to offer a range of enriching dance programs from school artist-in-residencies to summer dance camps, virtual classes and more. Through our unique approach to choreography, movement fundamentals, creative exploration and live performance, dancED strives to inspire joy, confidence and a sense of community, all while fostering a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts.
We have proudly delivered customized programming in partnership with Canada’s National Ballet School, The Mental Health Commission of Canada, Rising Academy Network in West Africa and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, among other organizations. The unique program we developed for the Alberta School for the Deaf, which allowed Deaf or hard of hearing students to experience the magic of dance, received national recognition from the CBC Arts.
